Apparently this is a big game today because Peavy was almost traded to the Cubs in the off season. If the Padres win, then the Cubs wallow in regret. If the Cubs win, then they pretend like they didn't want him anyway.
Good to see that Giles is back at the top of line up. That's where you put the guy that hasn't hit a ball in a month.

What a shame that he is most widely remembered for that VP debate
His military career was pretty friggin amazing….POW for 7+ years, and had the main gate a North Island as well as a new destroyer named in his honor.

There's a nice display on his story insided the NTC Command Center at the NTC campus
in Point Loma. Check it out sometime. I only know because we use it as a meeting space location for work and I have read the display a few times

Kouz's defense is average -
However, his bat for an everyday third bagger is below average. His decent glove work makes him a nice platoon/utility corner infielder.

We had the lead for half a game
It must worth something
Obviously, Headley (an infielder) doesn't track well in the outfield
and because he hasn’t hit , there aren’t many ways he can win a ball game. Anyone concerned about Headley’s bat ? He strikes out a ton and is not selective.
That was such a garbage pitch.
I still can’t believe where he put that pitch to Bradley. At least he can’t blame the scouting reports for that one.
I blame the fact that his pitches have TOO MUCH movement
I honestly believe that all that movement hurts him more than helps him sometimes.

THe less he pitches, the more likely his numbers will be protected. Especially when you think about the fact that the only times he will be pitching is against crappy teams we actually manage to lead after nine innings.
