Putting this sucker up early.
I'm so nervous! I have butterflies! Major League Baseball this evening at Petco Park! Peavy vs. Kuroda. Padres vs. Dodgers. This game really sets the tone for the whole season, if we win tonight we're going to the World Series. If we lose, we become the suck.
I'll be down at the park, Dex will be away on business so hold down the fort for us while we're gone. I'm not sure where we're sitting somewhere up in the 316.
If you are new to the site or new to Game Threads, let me break it down for you. We use the comment sections of these threads to talk about the game while it's in progress. I believe that SB Nation has the best blogging platform on the internets, all you gotta do is sign up for a free account and start commenting. When you are in the comments section you'll noticed that other users comments will automatically update without having to refresh the page and alerts will pop up in the right hand corner.

I don’t know when it happens, but hey, it happens. As we get older, at some point we begin to substitute “hot chicks” for “loose women” anyways, so its a natural me thinks.

Great opening day (aside from the loss). good weather and a surprisingly well behaved crowd (dodger fans).
Some notes:
1. Doyer fans will take anything free, even if it has another teams name on it.
2. I know its only day one, but Kouz seems to be in mid season form in killing an inning.
3. Eckstein’s at bats were great. Looking forward to watching this guy play. My friends and i laughed when he dove and came up inches short of the grounder. Because hes small….
4. Even if there isn’t the most exciting team playing on the field, it’s still baseball and going to the ballpark is always a good time.

I think
Louis Rodriguez will be a big part of the suck all year. But, Kouz and Blanco definitely earned some points towards being The Suck ® tonight. PV didn’t exactly strike me as avoiding The Suck either.

Remember our not so funny April Fools joke
about us quitting gaslamp. Turns out that everybody fell for it. I had people saying “so I hear you guys are handing over the blog” Maybe it was wishful thinking on their part.
