Demetri Martin swings at 'Moneyball'

Demetri Martin of Comedy Central fame has been cast to play DePo in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of 'Moneyball', according to Variety. David Justice will also be playing himself.

but that sounds like kind of strange casting to me. I suggest Carrot Top to play Billy Beane.

is being played by Brad Pitt. No, that’s not a joke. Although I suppose it makes sense for his younger years as a ballplayer.

I get Brad Pitt playing Beane, I don’t get Demitri Martin though. Its rare to see a young comedian being cast as anything but somebody funny or awkward in movies. Good for him though i guess if he can pull it off. I can just see him in a scouts meeting doing one of his silly graphs or “equations” that he does on his tv show.

Yep

After I see Martin is going to be Depo, it makes me question how “real” this movie is going to be compared to the book. I am looking forward to some of Martin’s famous graphs though.
