As a long time Padres fan living all over the US the last 20 years, I find it surprising that you just realized that ESPN disses the Pads. They always have. Yet they have more ex Padres on their Baseball broadcast and Shows than all of the other teams combined. Here are a few to remind you, Dave (the soup) Campbell, Johnny Kruk, Tony Gwynn, and now Dave Winfield, there were others but you get the point. ESPN lives for the east coast in all sports, nad most major news papers quit giving a day late west coast box scores on anyone but the Dodgers. The chargers got better coverage last year when they were four games out with four to play than the Padres did the last year they went to the World Series> Espn basically ignored the Pads in October until they clinched then dismissed them at the beginning of the playoffs. But everyone still watches ESPN. Fox doesn't even acknowledge the Padres as a West Coast baseball team. They only broadcast Dodgers, Giants, A's and Mariners. According to a friend at Fox, that won't change because San Diegans still watch Fox and Espn with little regard to programming. So everyone in San Diego, turn off FOX Sports and ESPN for the summer and tell them why.
