The Padres haven't been over .500 since April 2008
Padres claimed Luis Perdomo yesterday. The Pads will go with 13 pitchers as Drew Macias is sent to AAA and Travis Denker was DFA'd. As for Perdomo "we cannot send him to the minors without him passing through waivers and being offered back to the Cardinals for $25,000." More at Padres.com and NC Times

Eckstein & Giles

are great at the top of the order. I guess i could hope for a little more speed, but their discipline makes up for that.

Eleven Padres have a positive WPA so far. Six are hitters (Rodriguez, Hundley, Gonzalez, Cabrera, Eckstein & Giles). Five are pitchers (Gregerson, Bell, Sanchez, Moreno & de la Cruz).
