Peavy cut in half!
I noticed in the exhibition game between USA and the yanks that dj was playing against his.... oh sorry, got side-tracked by the bleedin obvious! for a minute.
What else I did notice, however, is that Roy Oswalt was wearing the number 44. I did a little rummaging and it seems pv is wearing 22 for the Classic. Umm? Isn't Jake usa's #1 starter? Anyone shed any light as to why he doesn't get to keep his number? Is this the new # the cubs are giving him?

They are friends
They probably decided who would wear the number over a hunting bet. Im sure Oswalt shot more defenseless animals than Jake did.
Clever title heading btw

You're probably right. They are very good friends.
On the other hand. Peavy is the #1 starter. I bet he wanted to wear 22 in tribute to his hero Roger Clemens.
Brady Hoke, Al Borges, and Rocky Long. Aztec football is back!

I read an article a long time ago in ESPN the magazine.
Where Peavy said he actually preferred to wear #22 because it was his dads number but when he came up to the Padres Nady already had #22 so he just doubled it,
