If you see Jack

tell him to get well soon

DODGERS, RED SOX, YANKEES, BRONCOS, PATRIOTS and RAIDERS all suck. Especially the Dodgers.

Who the F**** is Mitch Jones?

And what business does he have hitting a homer off of CY?

by TJB on Mar 3, 2009 12:45 PM PST reply actions

AAAA Guy

31-year old with 200 career minor league home runs. Has never spent a day in the majors though.

Fangraphs has some projections for him:

CHONE: .226/.308/.443
Oliver: .229/.296/.455

Jones has kind of a cult following among some Dodger fans, more so that it would be a cool story if he finally got a shot at the bigs. He might win a poll among Dodger fans asking who would you rather have, Jones or Pierre. :)

Either the pitching is way ahead of the hitting

Or our non-Latos bullpen has been really stellar so far. 2 H and 0 BB today through 3 IP from the ’pen.

1-10-DEN 18 (9:52) (Shotgun) 6-J.Cutler pass short right intended for 19-E.Royal INTERCEPTED by 93-L.Castillo (95-S.Phillips) at DEN 18. 93-L.Castillo to DEN 14 for 4 yards (62-C.Wiegmann). 6-J.Cutler pouts ob to DEN 25 for 11 yards.

Let's hope

you didn’t jinx the bullpen for the entire season

After that little speed bump

We seem to be back on track Frieri and Inman both send ’em down 1-2-3 with Will recording a K in the process.

I often wonder what it's like for jbox at Jack in the Box

Does he give them that, “Do you know who I am” routine?

Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? ◔ヮ◔

You get your own kiosk?

Do you allow The Unclean to make use of it, too, or is it just for you alone?

I let others use it

but seriously sometimes I’ll just step in there and start taking orders because other people are so slow with it.

by jbox on Mar 3, 2009 3:13 PM PST up reply actions

But really?

There’s a kiosk now? I must see this marvel. I think all the ones I go to don’t have enough foot traffic for that.

How greasy is the key/touch pad? Can you see yourself in it?

Yeah

it seems like half of them have it now. It’s the future. They probably are greasy, I use a taco to touch the screen so I don’t get my hands greasy.

That works?

I’d use a chicken strip, they’re like fingers.

I assume the game is already over

But the box score says its the bottom of the 9th. So, rally up, mini-Padres!

Here's an off topic question

I got a Friar Wire email a few weeks ago saying you could buy single season tickets early but deleted the email. Anybody have the code or the email?
