PrintObviously it's regarding the Bleacher Bums and the 3-7 time slot but who knows what he's going to say. Maybe he is giving the Bums a 2nd chance (Please God no!!!) or maybe he is announcing a new hiring.....I really don't think he is going to FIRE Jordan or Earl on the air though.....that's not the way businesses are ran.....then again businesses don't hire people who have no expieriance at all and give them the best spot possible at that particular job so who knows what will happen.

This couldn’t have been worse news. Freaking Hal and Earl? Not afraid to be “real”? Ugh.

A perfect opportunity to fix a huge mistake and they are still FAILING. This is not good news. This is not good news at all.
Hal Brown is reminding me of a certain former president
…who cannot admit EVER to making any mistakes.
He’s been asked three times now if the All Fan talk show was a mistake and he keeps stubbornly/strongly insisting NO. Gawd.
I admit though to feeling somewhat sorry for Earl at this point. He is listening to callers just hammer (hah, get it hammer?) him.
Did I hear that right?
Are their ratings actually up from the show they replaced?

I know
ratings took a big dive in the begining but when XTRA laid everyone off the ratings started to go back up….not sure how much. But that doesn’t mean the Bleacher Bums are the reason that it went up like the Hammer is claiming……they were the cause of it going down in the first place and it went up slightly because the other station shut down pretty much.
How creepy is it
how Hal Brown consistently refers to himself in the third person? It sounds like he truly believes “The Hammer” is his superhero alter ego.

And it’s not like he’s some young, hip dude…he’s older than me! Which is creeping me out even more!! Sounds like a HUGE egomaniac with no concept when he is wrong.

I have to admit that I listened to quite a bit of the broadcast today and by a LARGE margin the calls were all negative toward the “fan host” format. I get the impression that Hall Brown couldn’t care less. He is all about himself and his grand ideas and looks at negative feedback as just another source for ratings and attention.
He “alerted the media” to his “press conference”? Uh..other THAN Jay Posner who did call in – just WHO in the media would give a rip about his big announcement?? Utterly lame.
OTOH, from a pure listening perspective, the show WAS a lot better today – which only tells you how horrid the other two were!!
Right. It’s still not a good show, but minus Jordan it’s at least tolerable.

doesn’t seem to have the delivery needed for a live broadcaster. He pauses a lot, compared to his scripted “colorful” news updates.

Than Brian Wilson who is on the other station in the same time slot. That guy can barely get 3 words out of his mouth with slurring and stumbling.

They should have Kevin Acee on once a week. Especially as the draft approaches. He did a couple shows with Marty a while back and they were pretty good. But, I guess he does have another job.
