I'm going to put this Game Thread up early because there is a good chance that I won't be around at game time and it's safe to assume Dex won't be either.
Pads are playing two games, one against the Giants and one against the Indians. The schedule says the Indians game will be televised on Channel 4.
I went to the SDSU game on Friday night to see Strasburg pitch. I have never seen a crowd like that at Tony Gwynn Stadium. I got there shortly after 6pm and there was a line of about 200 people at the one box office. I probably missed the first two innings waiting in line and then missed a bit more trying to find 4 seats together was close to impossible.
The stadium was packed and the crowd roared every time Strasburg recorded a strike out. I was hungry and at about 7pm, I got in line of about 20 people. I stood in line for 45 minutes. I don't think the workers were even close to prepared for a Friday night Strasburg game.
As I was getting out of line the crowd was exiting because they assumed Strasburg had finished pitching. Luckily I was able to see him pitch his last inning. He struck people out, he walked others, he balked once, he slid to first to beat out a base runner. He did it all.
