First real Cactus League game of 2009.  This counts as much as a Spring Training game can count.  Corey Brock with the Line up as usual.  I think the game will be on XX Sports Radio and should start in a couple of minutes.

Whoa

The most surreal thing ever is seeing something you worked on being shown on a site you frequent.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

Funny thing is

No matter how many times I’ve reloaded the page, I haven’t seen it again. Banner(s) for Fusion Fall online game.

I’m looking to see what Blanks can do this spring. Given that he will not be starting at 1B anytime soon for the Padres, I think they ought to trade him while his stock his high….

Emil Brown

Looking to see what he can do this spring as well. I hope Brown can make the squad out of camp. I’d much rather have him on the team than Hairston.

Heaven!

Yeah, the team lost 99 last year. Yeah, we’ve lost Hoffman. Yeah, it was a rough off season and we are still not sure if Jake will be there all year…BUT…..

Oh how sweet it is to listen to baseball again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He also struck out 2 hitters

that should help his confidence. Who knows, we might just see the 2007 version of Thatcher this season, that would be very nice. That will only happen if Bud Black uses him at the right moments that is.

I'm no holding my breath

But I have a good feeling about Thatcher in ’09 for some reason.

The Pads can have Thatcher

Honestly, he’s not a bad guy or anything, but he’s not my favorite and I’d rather not have him back in Portland. So hopefully he can get his stuff together and help the big team this year. Actually that would probably win him some points with me.

Jerry was like (more or less)

The mariners have a new manager Don Wakamatsu who is obviously Japanese-American but you could not tell by looking at him. It’s amazing.

Did Teddy say how hard he was throwing?

I know the knock on him is that the TJ had sapped his velocity, but there was a chance he would get it back eventually. We’re looking for 88-92 on his fastball before his comeback can be taken seriously.
