PADRES NAME ENBERG TO LEAD TV VOICE
http://www3.signonsandiego.com/news/2009/dec/02/bn02enberg-joining-padres/
Enberg will call 100 games, Neely will work those that Enberg doesn't, Mud Cat stays as the analyst
Could be very interesting. Brings a BIIIIIG name into the booth with the Padres, but I wanna see what he can do in the booth with the Padres. I do kinda like Neely still, maybe put all three and see what happens. Should be a very interesting year.

Yeah, pretty bad
Now we’ll have a guy who can’t see the action in the TV and radio booths!
Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? ◔ヮ◔

I think you are right that it will be pretty bad
But Enberg was hilarious in the last charger game I just kinda expect him to suck so it isn’t hard for him to reach my expectations.
This will not end well
Another stupid PR move in my book.
The real problem is what this will mean to Mark Grant. If this is what the new regime thinks quality broadcaster equals, ie proven major league corporate veteran, I’d start updating my resume if I was him. And that will be a much bigger disaster.
Neely gets crap only because he is not Mattie V. With such a tough act to follow, he was doomed from the start.
Maybe they are handicapping both the tv and radio broadcasts to FORCE us to go to the games live?
