Our poor pitchers

“Opening Day outfield would consist of Chase Headley in left field, Will Venable in center field and Kyle Blanks in right field.”

This does not sound like a particularly strong defensive line up, and we have a very large outfield in San Diego.

Cameron is a really good CF

and a number of contending teams could use a really good CF. Do you really think the Padres will outbid all of them?

Venable is solid

I’m fine with him in center

"Get on board early," Black said, alluding to, what he feels, is a crop of up-and-coming players.

"I would tell those fans that we're going to play good baseball. We're going to play hard. We're going to have exciting young players..." -Bud Black
