Adrian's
“Yeah, whatever” comments about playing in Boston doesn’t really support this guy’s claims that Adrian’s dying to play there.

We're just a farm team
and we love to have big market teams take our best and brightest for the scraps on their table

The Rosenthal Article was pretty good...
I agreed with most of his analysis, and he also took into account that the Padres could have an outside chance of being competitive in the NL West next season. That’s something that most national baseball writers seem to like to not acknowledge.

Have I mentioned I hate Boston?
1. Gonzalez would love to play in Boston. This is not a case of a guy who wants to stay in San Diego because the weather is nice. Gonzalez isn’t pleased with losing. "He wants to be where the action is,’’ said an AL scout.
“Said an AL scout:”, seriously? “Said the hot dog vendor at Pawtuckett” “said some guy who speaks a little Spanish and knows a guy named Gonzalez”
He wants to stay in San Diego ‘cause he’s from San Diego, you idiot.
"And now for something completely different"
