Sounds like the honeymoon isn’t going to be to fun.

Salary Cap
It sounds all well and good, but its just not going to happen. Think about it even if MLB followed NHL and gave the players 54-56% of the revenues, it would still have a cap of 110-115 million, and a floor of 75-80 million (based on last years 6 billion in revenues). But the NHL only shares TV revenue from the national broadcasts. The NFL on the other hand gives 64% of revenues to the players, which comes out to about 130 million per team, with a floor of 105 million. Once again, teams only share the national tv revenue (of course most games are on national tv). The point is that most teams in the MLB have their own channels/networks, not a major national tv deal. In capped leagues there is mininal revenue sharing, so it would be hard to keep revenue sharing with a cap.

I hope we bring back the Blanc Bomber
I wonder where Giles will end up? The A’s?

We've got to do better than Blanco
He has no bat. I’d like them to get serious about filling out a real lineup that can score runs.

Where's the money gonna come from?
I think our best bet is the Hundley/Blanco combo again and hopefully Hundley proves himself to be worthy of the bigs.

Your choices are either no names or washed-up vets.
Or overpriced guys we won’t sign.
At least as far as FAs go.

Yeah I looked at the FA list
Nothing there I want to see that is affordable. Let Hundley be the vet if we can’t trade for something

I think the Pads trade for another young catcher this off season and have him and hundley battle it out
Bryan Anderson of the Cardinals may be a nice target. The cards need a 3B and Anderson is blocked by Molina so the deal may help out both teams. Blanco is a good verterain leader but I would rather the Pads go after Cameron as a verterain leader type guy (assuming there is no bad blood) and fill the CF spot as well.

The Great Jim Edmonds Experiment
This was really one of the funniest times around here. We sign him and almost all of us are like “YEAH. Dude still has it, this will be good” and almost immediately, we turned on him. “That guy is so old and slow and a bad influence.” Still just cracks me up.
Thank you for waving at me.

Top 3 C Prospects. GO!
1. Mitch Canham – Most complete and advanced catcher in the system. Great leader.
2. Jason Hagerty – Gets on base at an acceptable rate with his low average. Shows a little power.
3. Emmanuel Quiles – Youngest of the 3. Has pretty good upside. Needs to walk more

I'd sooner stick with Hundley
Doesn’t appear to be anyone in FA either, so they might just stick with it unless we can acquire a catcher from someone’s system. And I doubt we could acquire Anderson because they want to put Freese (the guy we traded to get that SOB Jim Edmonds) at 3B. So yeah that’s a fail on two fronts.
Maybe the twins or tigers have someone in their system? And they need 3Bs
