Hazen Declines Padres Job Offer
According to a baseball source, Red Sox farm director Mike Hazen declined an offer to become the Assistant General Manager of the Padres.

This does not bode well
I would assume, given that the front office is at least somewhat logical, that they offered this guy some kind of pay increase, relocation, etc. All things being equal, I can think of only one reason that anyone would turn down working in San Diego over working in Boston: Jed Hoyer is a dick.
