SB Nation NL Cy Young goes to Tim Lincecum

SB Nation voted on all the traditional end of year awards and this year's winner is Tim Lincecum. Chris Carpenter came in second. I was admittedly apathetic this season and didn't cast a vote, but, in case you were wondering, I would've cast a vote for Heath Bell. I probably would've also voted for Lincecum because he's half-filipino, but that was before the marijuana incident made me realize that he's no better than Barry Bonds or your typical heroin addict lying in a Skid Row gutter. MARIJUANA IS A GATEWAY DRUG!

The rest of the voting after the jump...

Star-divide

Rk Player Team 1st 2nd 3rd Pts
1 Tim Lincecum San Francisco Giants 18 13 - 129
2 Chris Carpenter St. Louis Cardinals 9 4 7 64
3 Adam Wainwright St. Louis Cardinals 4 4 10 42
4 Javier Vazquez Atlanta Braves - 5 7 22
5 Dan Haren Arizona Diamondbacks - 3 4 13
6 Ubaldo Jimenez Colorado Rockies - 1 1 4
7 Cliff Lee Philadelphia Phillies - - 1 1
8 Jair Jurrjens Atlanta Braves - - 1 1

If I had a vote

I probably would have gone with Chris Carpenter.

We're boned.

I'd pick Wainwright

Carpenter missed a month of the season, and Wainwright did his thing the whole year round

That's true

but When Carptener pitched, he was significantly better than Wainwright. Carpenter had a lower WHIP and FIP.

We're boned.

I posted a fanshot of it.

"I'm a Padre at heart. Always gonna root for the Padres. Twenty-five years [with this organization], how can't you? Next year I'm gonna be rooting like a son-of-a-gun for these guys and for Blackie ... I'm gonna be rooting for the next general manager here, rooting for the city, the fans, everybody. I think a lot of San Diego." -Kevin Towers

I’m looking for the YouTube video of the statement.
