I didn't vote
I’m both optimistic and pessimistic. Until I can figure out what exactly is Moorad’s “Plan”, I have no idea what’s in store for us.
Will Bell be gone? Will we bring in FA veterans? Will Moorad build a power hitting team in a park that kills the long ball. We don’t know. I’m sure we’ll have a lot to talk abou this offseason.
"Get on board early," Black said, alluding to, what he feels, is a crop of up-and-coming players.
"I would tell those fans that we're going to play good baseball. We're going to play hard. We're going to have exciting young players..." -Bud Black

I'm middling.
I think the club will be around .500 next year, which is an improvement, but we don’t really have prospects for drastic improvement unless some good FA signings are made, which I doubt will happen.
Greg Maddux for manager.

Just don’t know how much better, hoping for a winning season.

Better team?
Seems kind of relative to the rest of the league/division to me. I think talent-wise the Padres will be a better team next year. However, I see the all the other teams in our division improving as well. I think the big difference, is that I don’t see any team running away with the division title next year the way the Dodgers did (before their collapse).
