That is my answer too
I’m happy that the coaching staff is back but I’m not sure about Hoyer yet. I’m not saying stay in Boston and I’m not happy he’s coming to SD….so I’m somewhere in the middle currently. Moorad loved Josh Byrnes (still does by the way he talked about him to me) but I haven’t been impressed with anything Byrnes has done in Arizona and being that Byrnes & Hoyer were former Boston assistant GM’s under Theo and rumor has it they are cut from the same cloth then I am a bit hesitant to jump on board the “I love Hoyer” bandwagon just yet.
Not sure how anyone could be upset if Hoyer is the choice.
We don’t know anything about him or any of the candidates, really. It’s like being very passionate about wanting to pick mystery box #1 vs. mystery box #2.

doppleganger status?
"Get on board early," Black said, alluding to, what he feels, is a crop of up-and-coming players.
"I would tell those fans that we're going to play good baseball. We're going to play hard. We're going to have exciting young players..." -Bud Black
Old School
I believe Krasovic is one of those old school type’s who believe that in order to be a successful GM, you need to be a crotchety ex ballplayer with an IQ of less than 100.
Kim Ng?

Why this guy over Depo again?
I don’t get that play.
We have one of the top brains in the game, in house, why is he not an option again?

Good question
Been wondering that, too. The best I can figure is that Moorad & Garfinkel prefer DePo in his current hybrid job (apparently he does some work both in baseball operations and in the business side of things).
Might also be that DePo is not interested in being a GM at the moment; if I’m not mistaken, he has a couple of young children. I’m sure he works long hours as is, but I imagine being the GM would be even worse in that respect.
Is Hoyer married?
If he can get some clothing-help, I have a feeling he’s going to do well in San Diego.
