Oh snap. I even get non-divisional, non-league, non-season games late. Are the Padres playing in this one? I forget.

That's really what's killed them this series.

Their pitching hasn’t been that bad. The errors lead to a bunch of runs, and even then they haven’t given up that many. Their big problem is that their bats have gone absolutely cold.

How much does that pick off hurt

if Rivera gets a hit here. Even if he doesn’t, they could have 2 on with 1 out right now instead of 1 on and 2 out.

Greg Maddux for manager.

by Zach (maestro876) on Oct 19, 2009 2:45 PM PDT reply actions

It hurts big

You have men on first and second, a single scores a run instead of a single just maybe getting the man to 3rd. You can’t make mistakes like that and expect to win in the playoffs, in the regular season sometimes you play inferior opponents where you can make up for those, you need to be almost perfect to win postseason games.

by Dude52089 on Oct 19, 2009 2:48 PM PDT up reply actions

And the Angels have been anything but perfect.

The Yankees haven’t been perfect either, but the Angels have been just horrid and cashing in on Yankee mistakes, while New York is jumping all over those made by the Angels.

I cheated

Tec is kinda right, the 2001 mariners and 1906 cubs had the most wins, with the cubs having a better winning percentage, the mariners lost in the ALCS to the Yankees and the cubs lost in the world series to the white sox.
