She's my choice.

It won’t happen, but still…

She's a Ninja!

and that’s what Moorad has been looking for all along… Unless of course, he goes with Hoyer, who is a Soldier of Fortune, and exactly what Moorad is after…

... really?

"I'm a Padre at heart. Always gonna root for the Padres. Twenty-five years [with this organization], how can't you? Next year I'm gonna be rooting like a son-of-a-gun for these guys and for Blackie ... I'm gonna be rooting for the next general manager here, rooting for the city, the fans, everybody. I think a lot of San Diego." -Kevin Towers

I'll explain

How is Towers a “Gunslinger”? …It’s a made up pet name from Moorad…. I was referencing this in my application of made up monikers for other possible Padres’ GM’s.

Take it for what it's worth

but when I met with Moorad he just finished a “phone interview” with a candidate that he said he was going to be meeting with face to face this weekend. Apparently that candidate turned out to be Ng. But when I was talking to him he said that if they had to make an announcement tomorrow (Friday) that they would have their guy, giving me the impression that they pretty much have made up their mind already but are waiting for an announcement. Meaning Ng doesn’t have a shot unless she some how secretly had an interview weeks ago.

So it's Hoyer

Agreed

even before my meeting with Moorad I thought it was Hoyer. After my meeting I thought it was Hoyer even more. And then on Friday the most reliable source in San Diego sports today, Darren Smith, told me that it’s Hoyer. But Websoulsurfer says that his “sources” say it’s Jerry Dipoto so I think I may believe him because when has Websoulsurfer ever been wrong???

Don't know much about Hoyer

Is he any good? He’s the assistant Red Sox GM right? I’m still bummed we got rid of Towers.

What do we really know about any of the candidates?

I mean there isn’t exactly much information circling around about what these individuals have done, instead relying on their teams’ and GMs’ success as a basis for their potential success here.

I don’t care if its Hoyer, Ng or anyone else, just show me you won’t piss away the improvements we’ve made as a team especially in the farm area.
