Go Phillies!
Even though I harbor a deep dislike for a good portion of this team (Yes, I’m including your son, Jeffrey Jay McGowan) , and the only person I do like is Jamie Moyer, and they peed all over him with Pedro, I hate the Dodgers with the intensity of a thousand suns, an intensity only exceeded by my hatred for the Cubs.
"And now for something completely different"
Yeah, it takes a lot for the Phillies to become the good guy.
A lot, or the Dodgers.

who we kidding

Manny Ramirez has just SUCKED this post-season.
Moreover, he hasn’t been phenomenal in the regular season. He hit under .300 for the season, which isn’t like him.

That's how it is in baseball
Really regional. It’s hard to like another team.
In football, it’s easier to pick a team to root for in the playoffs.

I went to
game 1 & 2 of the ’06 playoffs and game 3 of the ’05 playoffs….not impressed with the crowds. ’96 & ’98 were much more electric.
And we were 4-2 against them in the regular season.
They had a record like we had in 2005—83-79.
They just got hot right at the time we cooled off. Big time.
