Padres Fan Day on April 5th

Gaslamp Baller Schwing and a miss gives us some scoop on Padres Fan Day.

The Pads aren’t having “FriarFest” they are having “Fan Day” which is essentially exactly like Friarfest….but it will be FREE and 1 day instead of two.
All the things from Friarfest will be there plus the team will be taking BP. It is April 5th from 12-4.

Now we're cooking with Friar! The Padres need to stop keeping secrets when it comes to good news.

Padres fan day ’09 – free Festival & team workout

Event: Padres "Fan Day" – Free Fan Festival & Team Public Workout

Date: Sunday, April 5, 2009, 12 to 4pm (with early entry for Season Ticket Holders, 11:30am)

Goal: FREE Event for FriarFaithful to create excitement for the 2009 season

OPEN GATES from (12:00 pm -4:30pm)

PADRES FOUNDATION FOR CHILDREN – GARAGE SALE

§ Community Relations will hold their annual "Garage Sale" in the Omni Hotel Premier Club.

§ All kinds of Padres memorabilia, autographed items, photos etc. for sale!

WORKOUT

§ Players work out on the field for one (1) hour beginning at 1:00 pm.

§ Live interviews with players will be presented on video board during workout.

§ Balls marked and hit/thrown into stands can be turned in for prizes at the Omni Hotel Premier Club.

AUTOGRAPHS

§ Once the workout has concluded and beginning at 2:30pm, players will be ushered to their respective ‘signing’ stations.

ADDITIONAL ATTRACTIONS

· Concessions and Padres’ merchandise will be available for purchase.

· Season, Groups and Single Game sales tables will be set up on the Main Concourse.

· Inflatable attractions (jump, surfing, hitting, pitching) also set up on Main Concourse

· 2 Balloon/Face Painting Clowns will be in place.

· Promotions booth with season giveaways to be displayed.

You had me at 'FREE'

To be honest, I have never gone to Friarfest in the past and had they held it this year I probably wouldn’t have gone, but tell me the event is free and I will mark it on my calendar.

I'm not in denial, I'm just selective about the reality I choose to accept.
