I don't really like that quote

It’s obviously not how the front office truly operates or else we’re seriously screwed. It sounds nice, but I think he really meant to say that the team isn’t going to overreact or underreact in response to a move by an opponent. Otherwise, how could you possibly build the best team you can without taking into account the current landscape?
