SLPiH - Saturday Edition

"Seems like the same old song and dance" Geer was in gear and Giles had his sixth 4 hit game, including a clutch homerun. Still not enough, failing to score in each of the last three innings, despite opportunity.

Adrian needs rest.

Tadagoochi returns to Philly

Optimist Island: Giles, going for team MVP? Geer goes toe-to-toe with C.C. Bullpen was good.

Pessimist Peninsula: STILL can't hit with RISP and struck out nine times. Nine times. Nine.

Strasburg News: Nats lose, Mariners win. We are 0.5 games back. You smell that? It's fear.

Alas, it would have been nice to draft, and then fail to sign, Stephen Strasburg.

Today it's Jake against Sheets, rematch of the August 14 game where Jake gave up one run after battling for six scoreless The offense picked him up the next inning, putting three on the board and chasing Sheets from the ballgame. Sheets is kinda bad against the Friar in his career, 0-2 8.46 ERA. Should be more than two runs scored, look for Giles to mash. At this point, it's even worth it to see if they trot out Gagne again. First pitch is 4:05PM PDT.

Sounds like Nationals fans (all three of them)

have less faith in their FO than we do. Ouch.

"...do hereby declare that I am not a member of the Human race (not an earthling) and in fact am an alien from another planet other than earth. I hope that this will prove to the person that is putting electric shocks to my head that I am an alien. I am declaring this so that I am not in any violation of any world or international laws of the earth as I am showing by this admission that I am in fact an alien."
