SLPiH - Sunday Edition
Letting it all slip away. CY, clearly not with the program, goes 7 scoreless innings of two-hit ball. Oh, and he produced as many runs as the Nats did. We have either overestimated the competition, or underestimated our current team.
If you ever wondered why Brian Giles is more of a teabag machine than Bigelow, jbox has this nice story, which you've probably already scanned.
After screwing the Astros so the Brewers have a better shot at the Wildcard, Bud Selig decides to do something for Ike victims.
Optimist Island: CY looks good for '09. Dare I say... clutch hitting?
Pessimist Peninsula: The Padres can't do anything right. Ever.
S-burg News: We need a loss in the worst way.
Worse matchup today as Baek takes on Odalis Perez. If you don't recall, Baek is the guy who thinks that PETCO is on the road. Day after night game, and Perez is LHP, so the lineup will look strange(r) and the Friar might be able to pull out the loss. EAST COAST DAY GAME ALERT! First throw is 10:35 AM PT.

FYI everyone.
Mudcat left us a message in the “Mark Grant Moments” thread.
