Venable growing out of control
Padres rookie Will Venable has grown an inch and gained muscle since the Padres listed him at 6 feet 2 inches and 205 pounds in their media guide. “They shortchanged me twice,” Venable said with a smile. “I'm 6-foot-3 and about 225 pounds.”
Let me do some quick math...if he keeps growing at his current rate he'll be 6'8" and 350 pounds by the end of the season.

he’ll walk by CY, bend down, and pat him on the head “how’s it going little man?”
I like how your verbs are things. I think I'm going to sandwhich after I sofa here for a bit.
Unfortunately
His hands will grow so large he won’t be able to use a regulation sized glove and be forced to retire. It’s sad really.

but he'll be able to rob 500 foot HRs by reaching up and grabbing them
that’s always a plus…

Yeah
I guess there’s no rule saying you need to use a glove. If his hands grow that big he can just knock balls down with them or clap them together to kill them like flies.
Actually, if he could take the punishment, he could just stand in front of home plate and knock down balls as they are hit. Then the other teams would counter by using elephants as players and just put them in the infield to block balls. You’d still need someone to field them though. Also they might get in the way of throwing to first. It’s a crazy world Venable is creating.

Total Fark
I noticed we got a Total Fark link to this story. Did they make it funnier? I bet they wrote a funnier headline.
Axion you’re a Total Farker, scope it out for us.
Who do you think submitted it.

Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?
(Gaslampball.com) [Amusing] "San Diego Padres rookie Will Venable is growing like crazy"
Nothing special, but it was redlighted anyway

That's a moral win I guess. It's all about small victories.
With a name like Smuckers, it has to be good!
