September

Last year the Padres/Chargers were 2-6 when the 2 teams played on Sundays thanks to the 1-3 wake up call for the Bolts and everybody's favorite "Sundays with Buddy". I still remember how much September sucked as an SD fan. Then on the first day of October AGone launched a grand slam and I almost launched my fists through the floor of the people above me when I jumed off the couch in celebration. My knuckles were bleeding and my hair was full of ceiling popcorn but damn it it felt good to be out of September. I don't have memory of the incident but my friend tells me sometime after the grand slam Trevor Hoffman and Tim McClellan crawled through my TV ala The Ring and took turns kicking me in the nuts. I'm going to predict a much happier a 4-4 month this year as the Chargers go 4-0 to start their run to the SB and the Padres go 0-4 to start their stretch run to the Strasburg.

He's a character in a movie called anchorman

It’s a quote from that movie, “Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale’s vagina.”

“In a way, each of us has an El Guapo to face. For some, shyness might be their El Guapo. For others, a lack of education might be their El Guapo. For us, El Guapo is a big, dangerous man who wants to kill us. But as sure as my name is Lucky Day, the people of Santa Poco can conquer their own personal El Guapo, who also happens to be the actual El Guapo!”
