The Summer Pops are back and the fans have their reviews in.

"I-I-I didn't know.  That's a wonderful thing that you did!"

That's what people are saying after they watch Dave Winfield host the Baseball Music Project.  The San Diego Symphony will be playing baseball music such as The Natural Theme and Take Me Out To The Ball Game, while Winfield talks about baseball and presumably his beloved Yankees.

The concert will take place at the Embarcadero downtown on August 8th and 9th.

Speaking of Music and Baseball the actor Billy Bob Thorton wrote a song about baseball and his favorite team, the Cardinals.  He took the idea of  "a man wanting his girl to leave him alone while he’s enjoying the Cardinals’ game on TV." and turned it into a song.  What a great idea!  As with most things once you have such a great subject to write about the rest is easy.  Word is that the song sucks.
