Though he is sometimes perceived as arrogant and out of touch with his customers, Alderson feels the frustration of Padres fans because much of it mirrors his own. Long before Khalil Greene broke his hand in a fit of temper, Alderson had a hard time concealing his exasperation with his strikeout-prone shortstop.

"...do hereby declare that I am not a member of the Human race (not an earthling) and in fact am an alien from another planet other than earth. I hope that this will prove to the person that is putting electric shocks to my head that I am an alien. I am declaring this so that I am not in any violation of any world or international laws of the earth as I am showing by this admission that I am in fact an alien."

If the FO really felt our pain
they wouldn’t have DOUBLE the price of beer since PETCO opened. Doesn’t matter, I now just bring in a pony keg, and when security comes over to give me a hard time, I just mark their hands and give them a red plastic cup.
