Smells Like Padres in Here - Tuesday Edition
Your 2008 San Diego Padres MVP
This thought was expressed by several people last night: if we have to win games at this point, at least it's against Arizona.
Hayhurst will go again.
The Padres and the Eugene Emeralds agree to stay friends.
Question #2 in this week's mailbag may be my favorite one ever.
Kyle Blanks went nuts yesterday.
Chad Reineke takes on Brandon Webb tonight. Remember - tonight is Drama's Good Time Old-Timey Thread. Come one, come all and remember what it was like when we didn't completely suck. Game time is 7:05pm PDT.

Agreed.
Question #2 was one hell of suggestion. I’m sure the guy who made it is probably fat too.

Question #2 in the mailbag...
The answer may be as good as the question:
“I don’t see how moving games to Qualcomm Stadium will help the team in any way and I don’t think it will be the draw you think it will be — unless, say, Stone Temple Pilots play a free show afterwards.”
Dear Mr. Brock,
Thank you for submitting your resume. Your knowledge of today’s current music scene is incredibly in-depth. While we enjoyed the articles you submitted featuring Limp Bizkit and Creed, unfortunately we don’t have room on our staff for your talents. We’ll keep your resume on file in the event we have an opening on our staff in the future. Thanks again.
Signed,

you're crazy
How you gonna compare Stone Temple Pilots to Creed or Limp Bizkit?

ah-uh
…no name calling now!
In other news... Padres are 48-76 when tied at the top of the first inning.

Uhhhh
You been following them at all recently?
I am the virus, are you the cure? I am morally, I'm morally impure. I am a disease and I am unclean. I am not a part of Dex's well-oiled machine. GLB nation, assimilate me. Take me in your arms and set me free. I am part of a degenerate elite...dragging our society into the streeet...into the abyss and to the sewer...don't you see? Dex just told me, he told me on the GLB.

Hahaha
STP was just in Atlanta this past weekend. Weiland was TRASHED.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

omg
That’s so awesome.
“Storms” = “Weiland taking an entire row of Jager bombs and getting so destroyed he has to cancel his next show”
This is the equivalent of a baseball player sitting out of a single game with “abdominal pains,” when they really just have a horrific case of runny mud-butt, or “dehydration” which we all know is “Tim Lincecum getting smashed on his dad’s O’Douls.”
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

I enjoyed the story about the AZ show where he fell backwards into the drums.

I have to say...
I’m not a fall down guy.
If I got really hammered at a party my friends knew I would do one of two things:
1. Find a place to blow chips and then find the nearest bathtub to pass out in.
2. Pull the rip cord. I’d tell everybody I was going to the bathroom and then sneak out and find a cab to stumble into. Usually I’d have the cab drive through a Jack-In-The-Box to get a bag of tacos.

2 is a trusty move
The Houdini. Often followed by a “what happened to you?” phone call the next day.

The best Houdini ever:
I was out with a bunch of friends one night at The Moldy Box in PB. We’re hanging at a table on the patio drinking and my friend mentions that Frank Sinatra is playing the Sports Arena that night. I finish my drink, announce I’m going to the bathroom, sneak out front and hop into a cab to the Sports Arena. I bought a single from a scalper and got to see Rickles open for Sinatra.

That's pretty remarkable
The most I’ve ever accomplished after silently bailing on a group of people is the aforementioned Jack in the Box trip. Kudos.

He had to roll with the local product and mention
STP. Still one of my favs.

I think I’m going to go to the actual game.
