Uh oh. I'm wondering if Dex and jbox are punishing us tonight for today's behavior and all the fat jokes. Maybe they aren't going to give us an Open Thread. I blame Drama and TheGrandHatching for this. They started it. Always blame the ones who started it.
Or maybe they just figured that we were going to lose this game so they figured they didn't want to waste the Internet's time with an OT. I could understand that.
Whatever the reason, I guess this is the OT for now. Go Padres. Sort of.

Perception vs. Reality
I’m trying to find baseball tickets for the Nationals in DC – and people are seriously asking for $60 a pop for dugout seats. Now I know they’re dugout seats, but it’s also the Washington Nationals. When I came to Petco earlier this year, I found a realistic thinking woman in Mira Mesa who sold me her dugout tickets for $30 a pop, down from a face value of $55.
$60 a ticket to watch the Nationals (worst) vs. Padres (2nd worst) or Braves (3rd worst)? Pffhhhahahahahahaha. I think not.

Especially since the Dback announcers are the most solicitious, friendly crew in baseball...
Every time I listen to them it’s nothing but complimentary things about the opposition, and witty banter, and just fun for any kind of baseball fan, such deep knowledge of the game. They make Vin Scully sound like John Kruk, those geniuses….It’s like GOD HIMSELF created an announcing crew, and gave them to the Diamondbacks—much like Major League Baseball bankrolled an entire championship roster for those lovable Dbacks.

In a season mired in failure and sucktitude, Jody Gerut continues to amaze me and make me realize just how awesome he really is.
