Not too bad so far. 43 pitches through three. Hope he keeps us in the game.

I also live in Portland so it’s fun to see some of these guys get called up. Rooting for the underdog too, I guess.

So I need some help
I’m starting a book club at school and we’re gonna try to read quirky but interesting books that are maybe gonna lean towards pop culture and just interesting things about our world. Problem is, I don’t know where to start. Any suggestions? Or just good books in general.

True Believers by Joe Queenan: it’s about why people continue to be fans of awful sports teams in general, year after year. Pretty funny reading…

Okay
I got your e-mail.
I will try to ask him Monday, but it is the first day of school. Which tends to be carazy. If not, I will ask as soon as possible after that. I hope to get a list from him or another teacher there.
I will get back to you as soon as I can.

WTF? Was Buddy on the crack pipe?
I was on the phone and didnt see this.
In the top of the 5th inning, one out, no one on:
Cha Seung Baek hit for Dirk Hayhurst.
Cha Seung Baek: Strike swinging, Foul, Baek struck out looking.
He PH a pitcher for a pitcher??? On the bench was Hundley and Giles and L. Rod.
Was he trying to protect these guys?
CBS still has Myrow on the bench, who, thankfully, is back in AAA.
Is he smoking ganja or is he on board with teh Strasburg?
Chicks Dig the Bullpen. Last years'. This year's is meager.
Maybe
he wants to get fired.
Its just a theory of mine, but perhaps he is completely disgusted with what players the FO has given him.
And this is his way of getting back at them.
Embarrass the organization by using a pitcher to PH.
Buddy is sticking it to the Man!

i think
since the game was close
he wanted to keep his backup outfielder, infielder and catcher on the bench for later if they needed to play in the game in case of an injury
