Smells Like Padres in Here - Thursday Edition
Just think. Only 36 crappy games left! And only 22 losses until we hit that magical number of 100 and the entire world will know our suckitude.
We are kicking Arizona's ass! In attendance!
Estes got a bad manicure or something.
Good guys on bad teams. I just have this really bad feeling that Gerut won't be in next year's plans and that feels like a mistake.
Chad Reineke takes on Brandon Webb tonight. This should go well. Game time is a ridiculous 6:40pm PDT.

I hope the team
signs Gerut to a reasonable deal before he hits FA. The guy stands to make stupid money as a competent CF with some pop.

he's one of my few bright spots on the team this season
along with Mike Adams, AGon, and EGon

I think EGon
has showed us precisely why he’s never had any extended playing time in MLB. The guy can hit, but he’s pretty useless as a 2B.

when he's right, he's right
isn’t there a stat somewhere that shows runs produced vs runs cost a team? i’m too lazy to look but i know baseball prospectus keeps track of that. i’d be curious to see where he ranks, and whether his offense is enough to alleviate his defensive woes.
but you are absolutely right about his fielding woes preventing him from extended stays in the show.

dude
you had me scared for a second there.
but hasnt our softball team won like a million straight games? we have to have one of those Jenny Finch types who hasnt given up a run in like two years, right?

Tough luck loss
Losing pitcher, Cat Osterman, the one who had the no-hitter in her first appearance this Olympics. But it’s funny how Finch is still the only one shown on thumbnails and descriptions of any mention of the team. Interesting pipe-dream theory thrown around already is that the US tanked it, so that women’s softball might allowed to stick around in future Olympic games, because up until this game, they apparently did win a million straight games with like a hundred no-hitters and like 50 perfectos.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
