True story: I got an IM from the former Davidlizerblog saying Dykstra had been signed and I responded back:

I went to school with Allan
pretty cool guy in h/s, albeit pretty damn shy. I’m glad he got his contract configured out.

This statement is still bothersome to me
‘The examination revealed some issues with Dykstra’s hip, the same one that he had surgery on in high school. He’d developed avascular necrosis, a degenerative hip condition.’
I hope this isnt a nagging issue, ala Mark Kotsay and his back. Although Kotsay is excelling now, his back has bothered him on and off for many seasons, until he finally had back surgery last year.
