San Diego Padres bench coach Craig Colbert has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount for his inappropriate actions prior to the start of the bottom of the eighth inning of his Club's Thursday, August 7th game against the New York Mets at Shea Stadium. Bob Watson, Vice President of On-Field Operations for Major League Baseball, made the announcement.
Colbert will serve his suspension on Tuesday night, when the Padres will host the Milwaukee Brewers.
