Aug 11 SS Luis Rodriguez was 2-for-6 Sunday to improve to 12-for-39 in the 10 games since taking over for the injured Khalil Greene. The 12 hits equals Greene's total for the month of July (12-for-80). Rodriguez has had three multi-hit games in his first 10 starts. Greene didn't have a multi-hit game in July.

Anybody
can look good over a small sample. Khalil still has him beat according to BR, despite his awful season.
Khalil Greene: 63 OPS+
Luis Rodriguez: 56 OPS+
I don't know if I buy into the validity of the claim. I just thought it was a tasty morsel I couldn't pass up posting.
With a name like Smuckers, it has to be good!

Oh for sure.
It will be interesting to see how he holds up under regular playing time for the rest of the season. He doesn’t flash much power, but he has seemed largely steady on the field with the glove. It would be nice to have a capable reserve IF.
Given this overwhelming evidence
Greene should be traded for a bag of bats and a new storage chest.
i'd settle for a lunch box
as long as it came with a matching thermos
