Who went to the Padres Celebrity Pour?

Now is your chance to give back to the Gaslamp Ball community.  Did you go to the Celebrity Pour?  Which Padres were there?  Did anything good happen?  Did you take pictures?  Are you going to share them?  Well, why the hell not?

Do tell.

Well, why the hell not? Because I’m still recovering.

Do tell. It’s 3am, I’ll share later.

I also went to another pour with Brian Giles(heard Jake was there earlier), Chris Deilman and Nick Hardwick, but you will be lucky to see those pics.

I have to work

So will get to it later. Sorry.

Good things come to those who wait or soemthing.

We started at EVT but moved on to Basic before any players got there. I dint see Cla’s gf at Basic. But the place was packed, so its possible I missed her. I will also make a FanPost.

It was fun watching Cla and Chase playing WII.

I'm writing my recap

and I also have 21 photos to share somehow. 13 of the Padres pour and 8 of the Padres-Chargers Pour. I guess the easiest way is to just post a link to my Webshots album?

I went to Celebrity Pour

I went to the events at Basic and East Village Tavern, and I have a few pictures and a story to post. I am going to do it as a FanPost and not a comment in this one, though. It was a ton of fun. The only addition I have to other entry is that I saw Randy Wolf as well.

One other note

Can someone tell me how to get photos on here without having them already be on the Internet somwhere? I can’t figure that out in the fan posts.

When you click the picture button on the tool bar

do you see a tab in the pop up window that says “upload”?

by jbox on Jul 10, 2008 9:15 AM PDT up reply actions

Actually nevermind

you have to have the pictures on the internet already, but when you post them on gaslamp they will get loaded to SB nation so they won’t link back to your private site.

I was at EVT

...though I don’t remember much, it was a long night. We got there early around the 4th inning to get a good seat. I won an Agon autographed bat and a Peavy autographed ball. Kooz, Chase, Meredith were all there serving beers, along with all the Channel 4 people.

yes and no

I win the bat and ball, but I was interviewed on camera sh*tfaced. I don’t remember exactly what I said but I couldnt close my mouth fast enough. Hopefully that video never sees the light of day.

Did anyone make out with a random girl?

For charity, of course.

No, I didn't see any of that

The only making out or sucking face that I saw was Cla with his fiancee who I think guys would say was hot, nice hair, very skinny and very tall shoes! Weisbarth did make Kouz give a kiss on the cheek to one of the raffle winners, though.

I went, it was awesome

Chatted with all 4 guys. Chase was really cool. Said they made him dress like a cow last year, but it was way better than dressing like a girl. I guess the players haze the rookies this way. He’s afraid he’ll have to do something this year too though because he’s still a rookie. I tried to get him to serve me a Bass beer but he said he could only serve Miller light. it was funny all the guys were just hanging out and drinking beers and taking shots behind the bar. Brian Myrow was nice. Seemed mature. I think I just got his autograph. And Cla was really nice too. Now Kooz was an interesting guy. I found him in the back of the bar talking to one of my friends. He said he was hiding out. His security guard was standing near by looking bored. This one girl was beaming and kept telling me that Kooz asked for her number. He seemed wasted. I asked him if the clubhouse got all quiet when they lost. He said, yeah I’m used to it now. We suck! He was really bitter. I looked at him and said, OMG Kooz you’re not supposed to talk like that. I got a picture with him but I’m not sure I’ll get it. The girl who took it I dont’ know. i did get some pictures of the guys behind the bar but i have to figure out how to get them off my phone into the internet. Anyway…it was a blast. The place wasn’t even that crowded. It was totally easy to have conversations with these guys. Oh one more thing. It was funny, this guy came over to Kooz and said, “5 minutes and we can leave”. Kooz said, “Oh, that’s ok, I think I’ll stay and bartend. I have nothing better to do.” Guess he likes to get drunk on his days off. He also told my friend that he wouldn’t mind being traded to the Giants.

Chase is lucky

If you avoid hazing, you get the Hello Kitty Backpack all season long.

Damn

Kooz must’ve been hammered. Sounds like he wasn’t holding anything back.
