Rockford Peaches

I’m concerned about her drive and desire to win. We all know she dropped that ball at the end on purpose, there is no way Kit is knocking that ball loose! But the girl can flat out hit and call a good game and has the head of a manager (as she basically was the manager for a third of the season). I vote Dottie!

Hmmm...

I just can’t bring myself to vote for someone who would throw a game… unless she was wearing a skirt.

I can't believe

you fairy Gaslampers have a girl in the lead for a catching position.

i think padres fans

have a hard time understanding what this mythical “catcher” position is….

that being said, Taylor was a crafty vet. he’s got my vote.

can't argue that

but I’m seriously ashamed of the inclusion of AND the voting for a chick in an all star baseball discussion.

Unicorns? Fine

But this time, you went to far.

Please

Amanda Whurlitzer is better than half of the guys in our current bullpen.

and what is wrong with a girl

being chosen? i’m all for saying women shouldn’t play baseball with men, i’m definately not a feminist but it isn’t 1945 here or anything… no ones to say that a woman can’t be chosen for a FICTIONAL position for a FICTIONAL team

further more have you ever heard of the very real Jackie Mitchell? She was a pitcher and when the Yankees came to play a minor league team she pitched to Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig and struck both of them out…

so i don’t really see why you have a problem with a woman being a choice here it isn’t like if she gets the most points the Padres are gonna go out and sign Gina Davis

Bullseye
In 1999, Davis was a semi-finalist in trials for the United States’ Olympic Archery team. She placed twenty-fourth out of twenty-eight.

Let me just say this about Crash Davis

You love him, I love him, we all love him. But the guy was your typical 4A player. Too good for the minors, not good enough for the show.

After all, he was the “player to be named.” That hardly sounds like an All-Star.

Dottie

How do you not take Gena Davis? C’mon. No brainer.

Still waiting for "Baseball Today" to give the Padres some love.
