SLPiH - Sunday Edition
THE NL WEST IS A TOTAL DISASTER
Jake was Jake and Hairy went deep twice off of starter Doug Davis for a 4-2 win.
The D-Backs will be keeping a close eye on Randy Johnson today. In his last six starts the Big Unit has posted a record of 0-6 and 7.94 ERA.
Nick Hundley is feeling right at home in Arizona.
Why Maddux was moved from today to tomorrow against the Marlins...well kinda.
KT and Grady are loving Steve Garrison.
The All-Star Game rosters will be announced at 11am on TBS.
MAPLE BATS HAVE CLAIMED YET ANOTHER VICTIM!!!
Josh Banks vs. Randy Johnson. Padres are going for just their second sweep of 2008. First pitch is at 1:10pm.

I bet Adrian hits another bomb today.
to celebrate his nomination.
It’s gotta to be hard to be playing so well while your team co-workers aren’t doing so good.

On Maple
This guy on 1090 last week, I think it was this guy. They haven’t put it up on the audio vault, so I don’t think it’s going to be up.
But he had an interesting idea on the radio that I don’t see mentioned in that article. He was talking about Barry Bonds, and how, during his chase to disgrace, he started saving the bats he’d hit HRs with for collectible reasons. Since he started replacing his bats, he stopped breaking as many. There are no rules saying a player has to use their bat until its death, yet they do so. His point was this is the quickest way to reduce the risk of injury that could be changed today, replacing used/worn bats before they break.
Also, hey MLB, people like to buy game-used stuff… like bats.
