Smells Like Padres in Here - 4th of July Edition

We are sending a signal to our rivals.  As long as they don't watch us play, it should work.

Multiple facial fractures for Barrett.

For the kid in all of us.

The USA Today profiles Adrian.

Buster Olney spends a week with AZ ace Brandon Webb.

Arizona produced an amazing comeback yesterday.  They should be on a nice emotional high for today's game.  Yay.

Baek takes on Haren tonight in Arizona.  Not a good matchup for us, as Haren is quite good and Baek is quite not.  Needless to say, this is probably going to be the series that determines how the Padres will play out the rest of the season.  But no pressure.  Game time is a ridiculous 6:40pm PDT.

Happy 4th of July.  Go Joey Chestnut.

Milwaukee is no stranger to bullpen collapse.

It was ugly to listen to.

Haren isn’t good with people on base, so for those teams who can get people on base, there you go.
6.63 ERA w/ runners on base
10.07 ERA w/ RISP
13.50 ERA w/ RISP, two out

Happy 4th – I’m at the fair. Deep-fried Twinkie, your hours are numbered.

I just watched the highlight videos of the rookies

and lo and behold, OUR Edgar Gonzalez highlights played when his turn came up.

The AZ Edgar Gonzalez is NOT a rookie and NOT an infielder.

Is this MLB’s fault or Gillette’s stupidity???
