Sucking on the road, Part II
We felt optimistic for a win on Sunday, but sort of missed the mark there (yes, that is a bad jab at Luke Carlin). We were planning to head up to Chicago for a White Sox game and some sightseeing, but we decided not to risk the rain. So the giant vortex of suck took us to Cincinnati for a night featuring Homer Bailey and Josh Banks.
Well, for those of you that watched we somehow scored more runs than the other team. This is definitely a new and creative way to lose. Huh, what's that? My brother Wes tells me that we didn't lose. That we w...w..won a game? I'm not even sure what that means.
Anyway, this was my first visit to the Great American Ballpark. I was not impressed with the food or the look of the field. Good location though. After going to St. Louis and feeling the color red pulse through me at all times and the stadium immediately making you feel that you were seeing a team with a rich tradition, the GAB didn't give off any of that. The Steamboat thingy is cute, the music is better, the beer is better, but it felt like a stale ballpark. I sat at field level so I'm hoping that some higher seats with a few of the river will improve the ambiance. They did have cheerleaders though. The St. Louis pep-ralliers seemed better, but the pom-poms were an interesting twist.
I'm still real sorry that I don't have any pics yet. For anyone who wants to know. I'll be at the games on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday, I'll definitely be at batting practice and I'll be wearing a Peavy jersey, my seats are in section 419, row J, seat 11. Wednesday, I'll be sitting in section 131, row FF, seat 12. I'll also be in Pittsburgh Thursday and Friday if anyone cares.

You gotta change the title of your posts. It just doesn’t sound right.
How about “The Padres are horrible, and that sucks”
"We will never be the darlings of the chabliss and brie crowd who disdain us."

I think you're missing the point
Maybe it’s not supposed to sound right. Or did I just blow your mind?
I don't have to always be right. I just have to always think I'm right.
You guys are too much
lol at road head references.
I’ve always heard such nice things about GAB – interesting to read differently for a change. Also, a lot of you GLB’ers are very ambitious travelers, which I definitely respect; kind of makes me feel like I’m standing still with my 4-5 parks a season clip thus far.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
I disagree about the park
I felt it was unique since it wasn’t made of brick. Of what I’ve seen, SD, SF, Denver, and St. Louis almost seem interchangeable with different views. Also, the team shop and front office are all connected to the park but are sort of separate buildings making the park itself feel more open. I like it.
I blame last night's win on you
If they win a couple more, don’t even bother coming back, if you know what’s good for you.
