Adrian's New Ride
So apparently I work right above the staging area for the All-Star Parade. This morning I was able to hastily snap a couple pictures of Adrian's new wheels, but didn't realize my phone was taking B&W pics until I got to Hamilton's truck. I'll try to get out in a couple hours and take some better ones, hopefully with some major league baseball all-star players. (in color this time)
Does MLB have something against the environment, though? Why can't they give out Segways or hybrids? Sheesh. Also, I don't think even a major leaguer wants to pay two hundred bucks to fill one of these puppies up:

There's a parade?
Man, the All-Star Game is so lame.

I didn't know, either.
But I’m gonna see if I can sneak into the back of Bud’s truck. I’ve got some questions for him.

And be sure to say hello
to Joe Thatcher. I’m sure those two couldn’t stand to be apart for the whole entire All-Star break.
Could be worse... could be the offseason.

It's a GM thing?
Guys like Tom Brady, Hines Ward, and Eli Manning win Escalades and various Cadillacs for winning Super Bowl MVP. David Eckstein gets a Corvette, before admitting he can’t drive a stick, let alone reach the pedals for winning MVP in in the 2006 series. But then Mike Lowell gets stuck with a Malibu Hybrid for winning the 2007 World Series MVP.
Those trucks look like Silverados, and Chevy does make a hybrid version of them, but somehow I don’t think those are. Even if they were, they’d still have the same thousand-gallon tanks, and get like 18 mpg as opposed to the 9 the non-hybrid gets, and let’s face it, they’re being used in a parade; moving 0.5 mph, they may as well be idling. Can’t they just hitch them all in succession, and then have one big semi up front pull them all?
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

It's kind of environmentally conscious
Turns out these trucks are the FlexFuel version. But, like you said, at 14-16 MPG, I’m not sure that counts.

Well...
maybe at the next drum circle the hippies can pass around a plate and collect enough money for the media buy to get the rights to it.
MLB… not a hippie-friendly sport, think of the trees!

Got slammed at work
Couldn’t step out to stalk our first baseman. Probably for the best, as they were preparing for a million people to be on the parade route.

Convenience
Trucks like this are stinking up dealers’ lots all over the country. This is the only change GM has to move them. “Buy a Silverado with the Ass-print of your favorite MLB player, and enjoy 1.9% financing, up to $10,000 cash back, and Rick Wagoner will personally deliver it to your home.”

Exactly
If anything, this is Chevrolet dumping money into what is going to be a fruitless advertising campaign.
Nobody wants these, and nobody wants to watch the All-Star Game.
