I agree with the grade
But I disagree with the reasoning. Retirement party for Maddux? Other than his last two outings, Mad Dog has been nails, but no run support. I guess it made for a glib little comment where he could mention two probable hall of famers, and he didn’t want to go in-depth on anybody, but with so many easy targets on this team to take a shot at Maddux is inconceivable. Lazy, crap writing.

Maddux had that bad stretch
in May also. I would have to look up the exact time period, but 4 of his 6 starts at one point were poor.
Also his road numbers are atrocious this year.
