I look at it like an NFL team.

Not entirely his fault. But they’ve shaken up the roster, they’ve brought up Headley and I’d have to think that this series has to be looked at as the lowest point in a season full of low pts. Firing him is pretty much the only way they have left to change things up.

Sandy is the only one who really knows the best direction for the franchise
You can’t fire him before he even makes his mark. Sandy’s plan for this franchise is barely even through phase 1. Black is a puppet, fire him or don’t fire him it barely makes a difference. Towers knows more about building a major league roster than Sandy. Each guy has his own strengths and they are working those strengths to build a more resilient franchise. The one that won the last 4 seasons was built with bailing wire and scotch tape that stuff has finally broke. The next Padres team that makes the playoffs will be built for the long haul by Sandy Alderson and Kevin Towers and with come when the Padres can produce major league talent from their farm system.
