Smells Like Padres in Here - Monday Edition
Winfield's Ghost is claiming his internet is down. Uh-huh...right.
A tough 5-3 loss to the Tigers yesterday leaves us 2-7 in interleague play so far. At least Buddy didn't have to stick around for the ending of this one.
Tim Sullivan from the U-T has an interesting article about Moores vs. Moores and how it could effect the ownership of the Padres.
The Savior should be back in left field for tomorrow's series opener against the Twins.
In baseball the object is to go home! And to be safe! "I hope I'll be safe at home!" R.I.P. - George Carlin

Sad day
knowing that George won’t be making the world a brighter place any longer. I loved his books and his routines were always hillarious, and yet, full of with and intelligence. I loved that he was a legitimately intelligent man who decided to approach the world with abject cynicism.
Yesterday’s game sucked ass. The umpires screwed us on three calls (Gerut’s “ground-rule” double, Adrian at the plate, B-Rat’s GIDP) and the balls and strikes calls were truly horrendous.

barrett double play
What happened on that? On the Tigers TV replay (damn you mlb extra innings) the ball didn’t appear to hit his foot.

On the replays
they showed in the stadium, it was pretty obvious that the ball hit him. Leitner et al also confired this over the radio.

Moores article
what was with the quote from Buddy Black saying that it was a “fun fact” that Moores’ lawyer also did divorce work for Snoop Dogg?

Check out the listings for the Padres.
Some of the items up for bid include the shoes Trevor and Maddux are wearing in the retro ad.
There’s also an autographed Joe Thatcher jersey up for bid…$100 starting bid!!

We should have a photoshopped picture for that
Something with Thatcher being given a ball from the run fairies dancing around him.
I watched all 22 innings and all I got was this lousy signature.

King Felix
Grand Slam off Johan Santana, then he hurts his ankle. I believe he was scheduled to match up against the Friar on Sunday, against one Jacob Edward Peavy.
