Open Thread, 6/21: Padres vs Tigers

Detroit Tigers at San Diego Padres, Jun 21, 2008 7:05 PM PDT

I really like our pitching a lot. Like Cha Seung Baek. I'm buying what he's selling.

Headley at third base. I wouldn't be surprised if he instinctively chases after balls that are hit to deep left. I heard that it took all sorts of doing to get left field into his skull and now, it's impossible to remove again.

GO PADRES!!!

Egon in the three spot

Maybe all of them hits can get him some RBI’s as well.

Although I don’t know. He was doing pretty well in the two spot.

I hope Black isn’t trying to fix what wasn’t broken. Egon was one of the few pieces of the lineup that didn’t need any help at all.

Still waiting for "Baseball Today" to give the Padres some love.

With Giles out

he seems to be the obvious choice in the 3 hole.

I vote we get McAnulty to wear the nickname of Snacks. The worst left fielder in the majors gets a crack at right … where he sucks less. PMac fought the wall and … PMac won.

Fair enough

But I’d just give a word of caution ot moving a guy who’s hitting like he’s hitting. Some guys get into a groove in a certain spot.

I second that

I read he tweaked his foot running the bases last night and left the game … confirm?

Let's go Royals

Really, if we weren’t in such a crappy division, this season wouldn’t have been nearly so fun. We’re always in it.

Arizona, what a bunch of posers.

Roll Call

1. Arizona Losing top of ninth
2. Dodger’s Lose in 11
3. San Francisco Losing top of eigth
4. San Diego can make up some ground tonight
5. Colorado beating the Amazin Mets in the 6th

GO PADRES. You can win, really, you can!

Doesn’t it piss you off when Ordonez is says MLB DOP TV?

Oh, and Gerut was so ready to point and laugh if Snack Attack PMAC missed that catch.

How do you join the Madres

is it just a fee? Initiation?

by jbox on Jun 21, 2008 9:35 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

i can get you the contact info if you what

but you pay 25 dollars for the membership… wait i lied its 20 dollars
but each luncheon with a player is 30 dollars to go…35 for guests if you are a person that doesn’t do things alone… a lot of money yea but once a month
but the cool thing is everything goes to youth baseball

it’s a lot of older women and men, at 22 i’m pretty sure i’m the youngest person
but they have other events they do too and they make like cool padres crafts that you can buy at the luncheons
and they have life raffles for gift baskets and sometimes tickets at every luncheon but its cool

Trust me, death is the best argument for moisturizer.
