Huber out Headley in

Huber to be DFA'd Headley to play LF and bat 7th I was expecting McAnaulty... But let's hope the pads can hold onto Huber!

Ouch

not in time for them to take him out of the Press Pass today, nor add Headley. Sloppy.

Huber cleared waivers...

So, i guess we get to keep him!

If they just DFA'd him

how would we know if he’s already cleared waivers?

I'm pretty sure teams have 24 hours to claim someone off waivers

But they can pass almost immediately. Once the all pass, he’s cleared waivers.

I watched all 22 innings and all I got was this lousy signature.

I'm confused too

Either someone on XX slipped up, or they already designated him ahead of time?

I specifically heard someone say that Huber was going to Portland on the pregame show.

I don’t remember, whats the specifics on designating for assignment?

i was shocked

that it wasn’t mcanulty
especially with him getting hurt the other day i’d think they’d like to have a healthy bench guy

happy for headley but bummed for huber

Trust me, death is the best argument for moisturizer.

Huber has played better than McAnaulty

Mac can walk with the bset of them, but Huber and Mac have hit about the same otherwise.
Compare the stats
Defensively, Huber has made several good plays in the outfield (save losing a ball in the lights and making a bad throw in the same night), while McAnaulty has had several real bad plays in the outfield.

Mac probably has a bit of the advantage since he’s a homer who has been in the system all along, but the Padres went out of thier way to pick up Huber at the end of spring training, so they seem to like him.

Otherwise, I’m not sure about why they would outright Huber over Mac, coin toss?
