Around SBN: The Ten Worst Swings Of The 2011 Season

Open Thread, 6/10: Padres vs Dodgers

In years when the Padres suck, I always take a little bit of satisfaction in the fact that those also seem to be the years that they especially own the Dodgers. Just something kinda nice about that.

Maddux goes for us today. I'm figuring he'll throw about 60 pitches, which should get us through the 8th. Trevor can pitch the 9th, but I'm not sure how we'll handle the inevitable extra innings.

GO PADRES! BEAT LA!

Totally

But I guess when you’ve got Huber in the lineup, it’s really a tossup for who should bat 8th. Hell, with Maddux pitching, Khalil could probably bat last.

by Phantom on Jun 10, 2008 6:58 PM PDT up reply actions

I'd probably go Barrett 6th

Huber, Greene, and Maddux can be interchangeable

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

I dont know if anyone mentioned it on this thread

The Padres have the annoying habit of losing games after a day off. And this was a day off at home. Which is worse.

I was at the game tonight. We sit next to our bullpen. Dudes were yawning. Everyone looked listless. BP was monotonous.

I hope their azzes wake up tomorrow.
