Will Ledezma out. Joe Thatcher in. Chase Headley stuck in the middle with you.

Some player movement as we shore up the number of left handed relievers that Bud Black crushes on . There's so much movement with the Padres these days! One would've thought that Chase Headley would've been called up by accident by now.

CHASE! IF YOU CAN HEAR ME! SNEAK INTO THATCHER'S LUGGAGE!!! CHAAAAAASE!!! FOLLOW THE SOUND OF MY VIRTUAL VOICE!!!

I think Corey has stolen this job

I say “I think” because I am in now way able to predict Buddy Black decision-making process.

I watched all 23 innings and all I got was this lousy signature.

i'm betting 8th inning

heath bell is gonna come out in the 6th
and starting pitching is only gonna go 5, no matter who it is.

Trust me, death is the best argument for moisturizer.

Oh this is gonna be fun!

swaping bad for worse

okay whatever
maybe its strategey… that all this up and down is gonna make thatcher be the best pitcher everrrrr

or maybe he does a very entertaining dance and it wakes up black

i sometimes think Kevin Towers just wants to mess with everyones minds… he thinks it is fun

Trust me, death is the best argument for moisturizer.

Ledezma

Good riddance. So tired of this guy. I can see why he’s bounced around. His lack of control makes it look like he’s not trying. When the bases are loaded and you start a guy with a fast 4 inches high and away you are not going to earn any brownie points. It makes it look like you don’t care about the situation, that you are not thinking about how to approach the hitter and that you have no intent on bearing down to get outs. I’ll take Baek and Banks thank you and say good bye to the Sauce (a nickname I have no fond thoughts of).

I watched all 23 innings and all I got was this lousy signature.

i didn't like him last year

alright for relief
but definately not starting material

Trust me, death is the best argument for moisturizer.

I agree

He was pretty good earlier this year in relief. USA Today Sports Weekly even did a little write up about him pitching well in relief. But SP is not his calling. It might be his goal, but it’s not his calling.

I hope Ledezma’s shining Clark’s shoes today, otherwise Ledezma was going to fall to a horrible Pedro Martinez.

Still waiting for "Baseball Today" to give the Padres some love.

Thatcher

This is probably temporary. A move to get an extra arm in the bullpen (Ledezma needs time to rest after his last start) until Peavy comes off the DL and Thatcher can go back down.

I watched all 23 innings and all I got was this lousy signature.

Thatcher Act 2: Electric Thatch-alo

Back to the Thatcher II

What about “I’ll have the Thatcher, medium well, hold The Sauce.”

Storm Thatcher?

The Shadow Thatcher?

Milk Snatcher?

These nicknames are always confusing me.

This is the third Thatcher act

He started with the team, got sent down, got called up, got sent down, and has now been called up again.

I watched all 23 innings and all I got was this lousy signature.

I wish I would have known this before the game

They brought in Thatcher and I thought I was on drugs. Everyone around me was calm and collected while I shouted “Is anyone else seeing this?” I thought I had some bad kettle corn or something.

you were at the game?

where were u sitting, im in section 111

by chaostheory1211 on Jun 11, 2008 3:40 AM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I was in 309

A little high, not too bad. They’re my brother’s season tickets. 111? Fa-ancy! I really can’t afford anything below upper field special reserve class or whatever it’s called. You people down there are totally a mystery to me.

thats my section for season tickets

a bit high
but u get a good view of the whole field, good people around usually
and cheap for a pretty good view, since we cant afford season for lower
20th im in 202 though :)
so excited
