Chris Young is taking on the Braves today and I can't help but wonder how they're going to manage to lose tonight's game. I wish we were losing the games more spectacularly. I feel like we don't have enough of those super spectacular losses each year. Maybe the 22 inning one was it. I want another loss in the 9th inning on back-to-back-to-back-to-back home runs or something.

Or we could win. That would probably be better.

For a team obsessed on getting good value – I would say this was one of their larger f-ups lately. At least they didn’t commit for long term, on purpose.

So, by my count, they won the 1st inning 1-0. Lost the 2nd 2-0. But it’s tied!

This is what we need to start doing: Bizarro scoring, drinking contests, truth or dare, daily doubles. I don’t care. Anything to make the actual final scores of these games go away.

I'm at the point

where every time the Padres have to play defence I’m scared to death they are going to allow an awful lot of runs. Then when they get a chance to hit I’m praying we can at least get one run or something.
Still for some reason I’m always quite happy when I can follow a Padres game.
